About
Canyonyas is a field atlas of the world's canyons and gorges, built entirely on open scientific data.
For each canyon we measure the cut on the European relief model — depth to the floor, width from rim to rim, the steepest wall — and show it to scale next to a landmark you know. We bring the climate to the rim and to the floor, estimate the best months to walk in, follow the river that carved it, and list what people have mapped around it.
Nothing here is a forecast or a safety assessment. Canyons flood without warning, the floor can be 10 °C hotter than the rim, and trails close. Check local conditions before you go.
